Having achieved stunning success in 1968 with the creation of the original blends for Borkum Riff it was in 1997 Rudiger L.Will developed the Solani range of pipe tobaccos. Having been born into the trade, his father owned a tobacco factory in Buende , Germany R.L. Will immersed himself in his passion for tobacco. He travelled to North Carolina and Virginia where he studied tobacco growing, its handling and manufacture. He is also responsible for the Reiner line of pipe tobaccos now highly regarded for their quality, taste and aroma.
