Charatan Black Flake Pipe Tobacco - 50g Tin

Charatan Black Flake has a bold character built upon darker Virginia leaf types, with a little Perique that amalgamates to a dense, almost overripe plummy, fermented, raisin bread like sour doughy saliency. Malt loaf? The flakes are a little sticky but thats not a bad thing, they rub out wonderfully and light with relative ease. Cool smoke, especially for a Virginia, you might think you are smoking a Cavendish, save for the natural complexity of this blend. It has a spicy effervescence coming, in part, from the Perique and also the aforementioned malt loaf dough. You may taste some coffee or dark chocolate bitterness, slight but gratifying. Its warming and satisfying, leaving a pleasant mouthfeel.
