Gawith Hoggarth Sweet Rum Twist is a traditional full-bodied pipe tobacco, hand-spun in to rope. The sweet Rum twist is a cool, woody, grassy and earthy with a few cigar notes coming through. A sweet mild nuttiness from the natural burley comes through the smoke and the addition of Rum is a welcomed top note. The ash from this pipe tobacco is a white, not grey or light grey but pure white. This is one recommended for the experienced smokers.

Twist and Rope tobaccos have a double purpose. In the 19th & 20th century smoking was prohibited in the pits so the miners would chew the tobacco to release the nicotine. Nowadays experienced and curious pipe smokers slice it up and mostly smoke it in their pipes.
