Guantanamera cigars came to the world’s attention in 2002 and have become a universal success. Prior to this, they were only available to cigar smokers living in Cuba. The leaf used to make them comes from the Vuelta Arriba district of Cuba, second only to the Vuelta Abajo district for producing quality cigar leaf.

 

The Guantanamera Minutos is a machine made (mecanizado) cigar which aficionados would probably avoid, but as an entry level Cuban cigar for newer smokers, they have proved very popular.
