A banker from Germany, Herman Upmann moved to Havana in 1844 because of his love for Havana cigars. He also set up a bank that closed in the early 1920s. Thankfully the cigar brand he created didn't suffer the same fate and today is still loved by cigar smokers the world over.
This blend, which uses Cuban tobacco from the Vuelta Abajo zone in Pinar del Rio, was first introduced in 2013 in the Genios vitola.
