My Father La Opulencia Robusto Cigar - Single

An old Cuban brand, the name has been revived by the Garcia family and it's fair to say the cigar reflects the name.

There is depth and richness thanks to its bold flavour profile. A high priming, premium sun grown Mexican Rosada Oscuro wrapper, full of spice and sweetnes is first up. To enhance the flavour of the cigar, a dual binder is the preferred choice, using leaf grown on their farms, it helps control the burn and improves combustion, These are typically Criollo 98 and Corojo 98.

The filler comes from their Jalapa Valley farms, it's high quality ensured by 3 -5 years of ageing. La Opulencia cigars are rolled at the My Father factory in Esteli, Nicaragua.

Box pressed, this dark leaf robusto is comfortable to hold. Light up and find notes of chocolate and coffee with some oak with a faint hint of aniseed. Medium to full bodied, the cigar meanders through profile changes of sweetnees and spice, but throughout the balance and richness remain the same. A perfect choice if you want something with a bit more body but still smooth and easy to smoke.
