If there is one particularly famous Cuban cigar factory in Havana, it is Partagas. The factory opened in 1845 by Don Jaime Partagas, and it has been making the cigars that bear his name ever since.
Possibly the best known of all Partagas Cuban cigars is the Serie D No. 4 Robusto Cuban Cigar, the Serie D is part of the legendary Partagas alphabet series that dates back to the 1930’s. A Partagas is immediately recognisable by its deep, earthy flavour. The character of its blend comes from a selection of filler and binder tobaccos grown in the Vuelta Abajo zone, chosen for its unmistakable richness of flavour and aroma. The D4 should not be pushed, this dark Knight is full strength and recommended as an after dinner smoke. The last third is where this cigar packs a punch.
