Peterson of Dublin Newgrange Spigot Briar Smoking Pipe - Shape 01
The shapes available in the Newgrange Spigot series capture the Peterson House Style, and became available in 2017, classed as a High Grade they are popular with aficionados as they are fairly large pipes.
Named after the famous Newgrange passage tomb, the pipes aren't quite as mysterious, they sport a dark sandblast finish, for which Peterson are famous, and a hallmarked silver spigot fitting.
The 01 is a nice bent Pot, the shape has a chunky and reassuring look to it, almost like seeing an old friend. The sandblasting makes it easy to hold and the spigot fitting makes maintenance easy.
The bowl is smaller than a House Pipe but will still hold a large amount of tobacco, a smoking period of between 40-60 minutes, depending on technique, can be expected.
The hallmatked sterling silver stem has been stamped with the usual Peterson logos, the acrylic stem with its brown and fishtail mouthpiece swirls and adds to the finijsh.
A very attractive looking pipe that should give years of reliable pleasure
