Peterson of Dublin Sherlock Holmes Dark Series Briar Smoking Pipe - Hansom Smooth

In 1987 Peterson produced the first in a series of pipes honouring Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's famous detective Sherlock Holmes, the range has probably been one of their most successful series ever. 

Using the finest briar available and created by Peterson's most experienced artisans, this range mirrors the shapes in The Return of Sherlock series with a dark walnut finish, accompanied by a wide hallmarked sterling silver band, stamped with the Sherlock Holmes logo, and finished with a black vulcanite "P" lip mouthpiece.  

The pipe name is a nod to the Hansom cab of the Edwardian era, and Sherlock's preferred mode of travel. It's a large bent Bulldog shape that pleases both the eye and the hand.

The pipe is a pure eye candy,  the chunky shape is comfortable to hold, and the elegantly shaped bowl offers a smoking period, depending on technique, of at least 60 minutes. 

The Sherlock Holmes Dark Series Hansom briar pipe is a non-filter pipe and comes gift boxed in a Peterson dust bag.
