By the time of the Cuban Revolution they were the 6th largest brand of Havanas.
Sadly, they are not as well known today, and production is limited to four vitolas, but moves are afoot to revive this once-famous brand.
The Galanes is a 52-ring gauge robusto rolled with long filler leaves from the Vuelta Abajo region, which gives the flavour Por Larranaga cigars are known for.
